REQUIRED SPECIFICATION:
PURPOSE: High speed fighter for use against aerial targets.
                     Number & type of engines: 2 Jet engines. Installation of various types of engine must be possible without major structural changes.
CREW:  Pilot
ARMAMENT: Four MG17, totaling 3200 rounds, and two MG131 totaling 800 rounds.
GUNSIGHT: Revi C 12C - installation of weapons in fuselage nose.
SIGNALS & EQUIPMENT: One FuG18 radio - one identification flare pistol.
FUEL TANK: forward removable protected tank - removable metal or sealed riveted rear tank.
ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT: must be capable of operating at night.
PERFORMANCE: maximum landing speed 140kph; maximum take-off length 600m; endurance approx. 1hour at 85% power, and an altitude of 6500metres; maximum time allowed to climb to 6000 meters is 8.5 minutes.
FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS: to satisfy the E-Stelle Rechlin guidelines for the assessment of flight characteristics for the required role.

AIRFRAME: the aircraft is to be of all-metal construction requiring simple and cheap design.
